pdns-backend-pgsql software package provides generic PostgreSQL backend for PowerDNS, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pdns-backend-pgsql
pdns-backend-pgsql is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pdns-backend-pgsql package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pdns-backend-pgsql *
You will get with pdns-backend-pgsql package name, version, architecture and description in a table
